Ghassan Al-Kibsi

Development Economist

McKinsey & Company managing partner for the Middle East. Kibsi has been with McKinsey for more than 20 years, having joined its Washington DC office in 1997. Currently he leads a team of 55 partners and more than 800 colleagues across the region, which he helped create in 2000 as a founding member of McKinsey’s Middle East office. In 2014, the World Economic Forum named Gassan a Young Global Leader.

Since 2000, Kibsi has been working with the public, private and social sectors across the region to accelerate its economic and social transformation, and develop next-generation talent. In addition, Kibsi has served some of the world’s leading companies in energy, technology, and consumer-facing industries to enhance growth and global competitiveness. He also supports philanthropic organizations that fight disease and poverty and seek to create a more dignified life for children and young people in more than 50 countries. Kibsi is passionate about supporting leaders on matters of economic growth and job creation for young people.

Kibsi is widely recognized for his expertise. His work has been published by the World Economic Forum, the Middle East Summit, and the McKinsey Quarterly.
