Afrah Al-Zouba

Managing Director of the Executive Bureau for the Acceleration of Ald Absorption and Support for Policy Reforms. 

She was first deputy secretary general of the National Dialogue Conference (NDC) and Constitutional Drafting Committee (CDC) Secretariat in Yemen. Zouba was responsible for community participation and managing technical support provided to members of the CDC and NDC, where she also managed the team responsible for the NDC outcomes document.

Zouba has more than ten years of experience in development, including two years with the United States Agency for International Development. In addition to women’s empowerment and conflict reduction programs, she also supervised projects connected to the 2012 Yemeni presidential election, assisted Yemen’s National Reconciliation Government, and facilitated preparations for Yemen’s National Dialogue Conference.

Zouba holds a master’s degree in business management from the University of Science and Technology in Sana’a, and a master’s degree in societal health from the National University of Malaysia. She completed her bachelor’s degree in pharmaceutical science at Sana’a University.
